Nice car... I am not close enough
if it stays in the 20's, this could be a real good deal, the original engine sounds great, put it back in, have a number's matching 912 and sell the subie to someone on this board...
I like that one. I'll nit-pick the mufflers though. Three mufflers! Really?
Here's EJ22 Subaru engine with wiring and KEP adapter on SAMBA for $600 in NY.
The problem with BAT is inspection and escrow. They offer neither. So unless you want to pay for an inspection (and the owner is cool with it), then hope you get the bid ... it is a hope for the best / buying the pictures ' kind of thing'. A little too risky for me. I was hoping this owner would step up to the plate and dazzle me with details and photos. But as usual, he has offered the minimum. Don't mean to bad mouth him. This is par for the course with BAT. Pretty initial photos; poor follow up.
Being there makes it.
Sure sounds the part...
I wouldn't be at all afraid of this. I like Will's plan.
Well Stan that is one way to make some money
Well bought, not a steal but how can you go wrong in the long wrong?
I think the seller did great. IMHO
My rose colored glasses are tainted. The engine rebuild with Porsche parts is going to be high. No info on the coolant lines, bleed points , etc... Even so it could be a fair deal on a rare car, for the buyer who is willing to put some work in. The seller should be a happy guy.
(I hope I am being too negative and the buyer does well.)
Ouch sold for $36k.
Well your paying the P tax... take a deep breath...
