My Ebay buy has an interior kit that would make a Tijuana upholster guy groan., It is not shag orange but not much better
Only problem is whether the square weave kits that are listed on Performance Parts would fit correctly.

I don't think it will fit - not worth a $500 risk! Take a look at the Vintage Speedster (VS) $475 kits via Makers tab.
I sent VS an email. I would prefer square weave carpet. I did find bulk square weave on Pelican and since I have a kit cutting from bulk should not be difficult. Just gotta remember "trace twice, cut once".
i'd recommend getting one made to fit your car rather than mail order.
since you already have templates - it should be a matter of cutting and bringing it in somewhere to get bound.
Some of the hot rod supply places have genuine german square weave for less $ than the Porsche places.
Just be cautious of going with the wool German Square Weave - once it gets wet it smells like a nasty big wet dog and takes a long time to dry out.
^ of ya - that is why i went synthetic on both the carpet and 'leather'.
i bought my carpet at home depot
square weave oatmeal, syntetic. only downside was how thick it was to bend around some of the compound corners. binding it was a bit of a bitch too.
on the plus side - the thickness covers minor bumps, etc perfectly.
I ended up buying a carpet from a salvaged 356. Smells fine and if it does not fit I will get a bigger pair of scissors or hammer!
hmm, i see.
you and i have different approaches on 'attention to detail'.
I have emailed Vintage Speedsters 3 times no response for carpets on vspeedsters@aol.com. No response any thoughts on another supplier??

M & T Manufacturing they sell german vinyls fabrics and carpet as kits or by the yard.
HOLY COW!!
They're almost around the corner from me, they've been there for 30 years and I've never heard of them. Shows that I gotta get out more.......
I love this site!

(don't know prices but Wolfsburg could be the best bang for your buck-do some comparative research...)

Try calling them on the phone; you are likely to get a quicker response that way.
