Interior Cover

Take a look at this pic. I ran across this on a Cobra site. They are negotiating with California Car Cover to produce a custom fitted one that will cost about $59.00. They can also get custom logo embroidering for a small upcharge. Maybe we don't need one because most of us have tonneau covers, but I thought this was pretty neat because it covers the windhield.

Might be nice If is really easy to use. Putting on the tonneau can be a bit of hassle sometimes.

Somewhere here, I've read that a Miata is a close match too

I had one years ago for a 914 I had - it was easier to handle than a full cover but still protected the interior when roof was off or sun was beating down. Also good for keeping off light frost in AM. It had 4 sew in sand bags to hold it down and was the light green canvas stuff. Back then was $20 from JC Whitney. Would think Miata or Honda S2000 would be appropriate size.

I've got one for a Miata and it works. A bit big but that's okay. Keeps prying eyes out of the itnerior too.

I could really use one of these since I was too cheap to get a new full tonneau.

I contacted Meranda at Cal Car Cover Company to see about a possible
group buy. She said that they had many requests from the Cobra crowd so thats why they were developing a custom cover for it. She said they had not recieved any requests for the Speedster cover. Maybe if we all call, they will develop a custom fit cover or us. Her # is 800-423-5525.
By the way, I was going to name this thread "Cockpit Cover" but I figured Vince Manto would say "Cockpit This!"

Theron, can we run a poll to get an idea of what kind of numbers would be interested?

John at JPS made something almost identical for me. I never got around to installing the snaps on it so I can't take a picture. But he sent me a picture of one installed on a speedster (which I can't find) and it looked great. If you contact him, he'll be able to help you out.

Any place that will does boat covers should be able to this smaller version for approx. $100
