Wow, two owners and only 2800 miles in nine years.

Intermeccanicas are fairly reliable, but they still need regular maintenance (carb adjustment, valve adjustment, etc).

I've never had any need to touch the carbs on mine, Ron.  Other than oil changes (which I do myself) and valve adjustment (which I don't do myself), the car has been completely reliable and trouble free.

I have seen the car in person a couple of times, as recent as 2 weeks ago. I was stopping into Intermeccanica US to discuss putting a retro looking sound system into my white IM. This black IM is really nice, in perfect condition, with essentially no miles. Michael at IM US is outstanding. Honest, knowledgeable, and fair. Other than a stereo that looks out of place(something they could easily remedy), and perhaps a new steering wheel, the car needs nothing. If you have any specific questions, just ask.

I'm hoping mine will be as reliable as yours, when I finally get it back on the road.

Well, Ron, I'm crossing my fingers for you...
