for photos my folder userID is 356cab
I purchased the car from Henry at Intermeccanica, who brokered the deal for me, in May 2002.
He told me the car was red .... I wanted silver
So I had Henry completely rebuilt it from ground up (summer/fall) of 2002.
When I mean re-built .... I mean .... as you guys ALL know these 356 bodies are essentially one piece (meaning the part of the dash where the speed gauges are located behind the windshield) this is the same piece of body as the rest of the car (all one piece)
This means poor Henry had to remove the windshield, leather, all gauges, steering wheel, lights, all rubber seals, hood, trunk, carpet, doors etc.... (they essentially disassembled the whole car) Who else would I trust to take apart and put together the car again??!!
I also wanted 4 wheel disc, and AC
When reassembling the vehicle, he fitted the car with all his latest rubber seals and moldings.
Please feel free to call Henry at Intermeccanica ... He knows my car well.
Tubular Steel Chaise
2110 cc engine
4 wheel disc breaks
stainless steel break lines
Glass side row up windows
Air Conditioning
New transition
New rebuilt motor
Chromed interior engine bay
Plus too many other small details to mention
I'm selling it for US$25,000
The only thing I want to keep is the steering wheel. I will replace it with the original wooden Nardi steering wheel that Henry originally has on all his Intermeccanica vehicles.
For ALL you Canadians my car is registered and a 1958 356 Porsche. This means you don't have to worry about renewing your sticker when doing emissions testing each year. This vehicle is EXEMPT!!!
I would like to try a 550 Spyder next ... and get Henry to customize it for me.
Email me directly if you have further questions
