Kind of glad they didn't make more of them.
I dunno, I kinda like it.
Pretty much, you're either a wagon guy or you aren't! I kinda like it too, Lane.
Let's see, I've owned a Suby Legacy GT wagon, a Passat 4motion wagon, and just picked up a 2005 Audi Allroad, equipped with 300 horse 4.2.V8! I know the mileage won't be great, but it has low miles and it's a pretty nice wagon.
Wolfgang,
I really like it, was it built to compete with the Chevy Nomad ?

Seems a good alternative to a SUV - calling them a station wagon is self defeating. I like the term "Shooting Brake." Check out the Aston Martin DB6 Vantage Shooting Brake. Anyone remember the now rare Volvo 1800ES?
The 1800 ES has always been a favorite for me. I prefer the lines over the P1800. Not a great driver, however, and slow as stink.
On the Mustang wagon, the top terminates too early for my taste. It should have continued almost to the end.
Of the modern variety, I do like the Jaguar wagon.
Nothing against station wagons.... one of our cars is a Mercedes R350 which is nothing more than a giant station wagon, just labeled a "crossover". But, I've always thought a 2 door wagon kind of defeated at least part of the purpose of the whole thing which seems to me to be function over form for purposes of flexibility.
Maybe I've missed the point....
That Aston Martin DB6 is tits! Must be rare, I've only seen a few in photos.
We have a new DB9 in the neighborhood--a surgeon near us. Incredible car--breathtaking. Google the Astom Martin DB9 and see what about $150k gets you.
I've always liked the 1800 ES too.
Years ago when I bought my new 1972 914 - there was a teal blue one used at the Porsche dealer. The paint was messed up and it needed a repaint. I opted for the new 914.
Model of the Mustang available on ebay.
OK, I just became a convert along with Gerd. That is good looking!

I'd ride that Pony!
