Anyone have experience with one with an automatic transmission and air conditioning?? Do those detract from performance of air cooled engine??

I have an IM with AC automatic 2110 cc. O
ut of the hole it is not as quick but very comfortable to drive. Highway speeds seems like plenty of power. I went from a bare bones CMC with 4 speed and 2165cc to the IM, totally different car.

Thanks for your input. The Speedster is spartan. The Roadster is plush. Just like a coupe without the top. You pays your money and takes your choice!

What kind of automatic transmission does your Roadster have. VW?? Intermeccanica?? Other?? Has it needed service?? Who does that for you?? Where are you located??

FYI normally IM uses a bus auto trans obviously it is for those who must have auto so there are some compromise in my opinion and I should mention that I never drove one.
IM has built a few so they are available for those who want auto and I have not heard of any bad reports. My point was simply that every tranny engin setup has its nuances.
