I have an early pan version of the speedster and the master cylinder went on the car. I replaced it with the same cylinder that was in the car which was an early bus with attached reservoir. I noticed that I hve alot of free play and all of the adjustment is taken up in the rod. The cylinder has spacers inorder to have the reservoir clear the firewall. I really need a pedal rod extention, but what the early pedals come with is one size rod. Any ideas? currently I have a pedal free play of 1 1/4 inches.

Long time no hear!
First I would give Henry @ IM a call to confirm he may have an easy fix.
If you need an extension done, draw it up, send the old one long with the drawing of what you need, be glad to fix you up.~Alan Merklin
