OK !! I have noticed a decline in the power of my wiper motor and decided to try a upgrade.
I robbed the switch, the motor and control box from a 1990 Ford f-150 and as much harness as needed.
Then grabbed up a old vw wiper setup . I had to shorten the ford wiper motor shaft and case by 1.1/2" and cut the shaft to match the vw specs.
I used a file and grinder to remake the ford type end on the shaft to bolt on the vw motor arm which I slotted then drilled and tapped it for a 10 mm bolt.
It was a pretty simple mod and the motor mounts backwards but its in a replia so thats not a problem.
My 54 ford truck dash bezel and ferrel are a thread match to the switch. I will have to drill a new 66 vw nob an add a set screw, but thats simple.

When I finished up the harness It works almost perfect. the motor is so powerful it coasts though park .I had to add a spring to simulate a wiper arm load just so it would park and bench test. It all worked

This is going to be a great upgrade I still need to find a washer bottle the will set between the trunk wall and the gas tank.

I also found out that James Duff Interprizes a Ford Bronco supplier offers the add on kit but its very pricy and you still need the motor and part of the harness

Its a protype I know .But Its LOOKIN GOOD!!
OH yes!!!
To any duration you want,, and it wipes when you push in on the knob for the wash and wipe feature. A stock ford setup from 1985 to 1990
But I liked the 1990 and newer motor best. You can cross year the switch and the govener box they have the same part numbers the earlyer motors are not a close enough match to the vw specs but the 1990 with 2 square plugs is.

There is a article at http://www.ford-trucks.com Installing a intermittent 2 speed wiper on a 66 ford truck. That put me on course. It helped a bunch.

Heck The motor by itself is a good up grade even If you dont go Intermittent.
