IRS conversion

My 02 vintage built on a 69 pan was supplied with 3.88 transmission and swing axles. My question is what would be required to convert it to IRS? The pan has the attachment points for the trailing links. What would be required to replace the axles and what internals need to be repaced in the transmission? What else do I need to consider in this conversion?

You just need to find a junk yard 69 or newer bug. Remember the track is wider. There may be clearence issues.
