The SAMBA write up implies adjustable springs are stronger but suspect they are comparing them to the single spring plate vs the dual swing springs that are on some models (1970 for sure). The double springs are preferred by off roaders for being stronger. I thought you only got about 1/2" height adjustment out of the adjustable springs - say for final fine adjustment???
I have always gotten away with using a roll-around floor jack instead of one of those bar compression tools. Never thought that the bar was very safe, anyway.
offroad 356???/ I realy dont think you will ever over power the adjustable spring plate or the single. and if you eff it up offroading it's probably the least of your issues.
