I will be heading to Irvine next Saturday (week) for an early visit to Cars and coffee.
I am not sure if any of you head across...
Mustbjim indicated he maybe heading to Irvine.
I look forward to meeting any of you whom attend.
I will be with my son who is a Street Rod fan - 1932 Roadster.
The night before (Friday May 2nd) we will be at Big Boys Hamburgers in Burbank and may head back there Saturday night if the Friday night is worth it..
We have a real interest in all cars..

My Speedster (or I should say my wife's) has just had a major engine build and is going into the body shop for a freshen up in a darker Ruby or Polyantha Red.
I look forward to seeing some 356 speedsters when in California this weekend of the 2nd,3rd and 4th of May

Hey Bernie, what do the guys on the Cobra site think about you owning a Speedster, or have you shared it with them?

The guys here are used to different cars at my house. I get more of a hard time about the Lotus.

The Lotus is not actually my car but three numbers prior.
My Cobra on the roadside - Cobra Car Club run - Great OceanRoad.
Very nice. Aluminum body (Kirkham?) or fiberglass painted to look that way? Either way it's nice.
And I like the Lotus.

The Cobra is all aluminium and has been finished in brushed styling.
I purchased the 468 cubic inch aluminium motor from Shelby - a few years back before he died and he signed all the paperwork and the dash, shirts etc.
Dynoed by Shelby's engine guys at Windsor San Francisco it put out just on 603HP.
I am anticipating the little 2000 VW can hit about 120 / 130hp...
It's easy, Bernie; take the wife for an easy cruise in the speedster and take the cobra for a hard drive to blow out the cob webs.

Yes pretty much what will happen. But I think I will get home after a Cobra drive and find Anne has the 356 down the street for a coffee with the girls!!

I have decided to do the Grand Avenue, Escondido on the night - Friday - prior. I have been told it is huge.
