Ideas? VWs? Close one eye and pretend your Speedster body is wrapped around some these drive-trains:

As for the bodies I offer this (open the other eye now):

Many JPEGs in both links!
Sunday should be a nice day for a run... If I go I'll be headed out by 9 or 10 so I can see all the crap in the swapmeet and then check out some of the drags too! They say you can park right in the middle of things if you have a car to show because there isn't really a "Car-Show"... which probablly means you can leave anytime too! which is good for me here... Dave or anyone that is interested in going, let me know if your headed up so we can meet up at races or at off-ramp before you enter the track itself.
Mark we can hook up at the 605 fwy north at the Slauson Ave. off ramp just north of the 5 fwy. Once you exit the freeway you'll turn left at the off-ramp (Pioneer blvd). you'll see Pioneer High School right across the street. they have a parking lot parallel to the off-ramp. Just north of their Gym. We can meet there and still have a little ride up to Irwindale Raceway. Let me know if you hear from Dave O. too.

What time did you wanna meet? 7,8,9? Let me know cause you have a long drive...

Of course anyone else is welcomed too.

Had planned on it but "stuff" happens. Gonna be tied up now for the next few weeks (and NOT tied up in a good way...!) If there's any good info re: web-sites/tech info, post it when you can. I think you're gonna have fun. If early, you'll need a windbreaker. Weird weather sometimes "happens" along the SG river (605)!
Add: If you get a discount, you'll be able to buy a tasty 6oz glass of beer-I remember those old king-size beers at Dodger stadium for about $3 bucks!!! Many moons ago!)
Nice day! meet up with Dave and some other airheads along the way and cruzed up the 605 to Irwidale. Got inside and meet up with Bruce Chow. I got to check out his doublecab...Nice! wandering around the swapmeet I scored a vintage suitcase that matches my interior pretty good for $10.00. I need to get some leather straps and some cool old stickers for it. 1/8th mile drags are awsome! you get to see the whole race from one spot. Some of those cars can LAUNCH!! Lots of turbos. Great day.
Later, Markos
