is it just me or is this price outrageiously high??

I contacted the seller and asked when it was built and he said 6 years ago, is it just me or how can this be, its on a pan and has gauges of that of an old IM amongst other things. I feel like painting mine black and taking pictures under heavy lighting, hee hee!!!!!!!
