Is it possible to put a lock on the trunk? | 356 Speedster, 550 Spyder, Replica, Automotive Community

I was considering putting a storage spot between the engine area and the rear seat but it seems like it would be a pain. Is it possible to put a lock on the pull pin for the front hood so I can just call it a day. I dont plan to travel with much stuff butit would be nice to have a pot to put my laptop.

On a 911 targa or cabriolet, the pull lever for the front trunk is keyed and locked. Seems to me, that a couple of Jeeps we had were the same way.

That would be a pretty san-o setup.

Relocate the pull cable release so that it is hidden in a slot within the carpet..only you will know where it is to grab hold of it. Then again if you know where and how, I can reach up under the front of a speedster and pop the bonnet latch in 5 seconds..that area would need to be boxed in too.

i am running a karmann Ghia locking hood mechanism. a little fabbing to make it work, but totally looks the part!

I had one that looked like Mango's on my old 64 convertible bug.

That thing is crazy expensive might as well let my stuff get stolen. Thanks for the help guys well see if I pull the trigger on it.
