Yeah, those flares suck. The “modernized” body of the Ill-fatted Thunder Ranch/RockWest spec racer were a better evolution of the original design.

The flares on a 550 definitely give off a “Cobra” vibe.  But…no.  It’s akin to putting an air-cooled drivetrain in a Shelby.
