Is there a cheap place to get those camloc style clips that are used to hold the top bow to the windshield? Thanks

Vintage has the required units at a reasonable price..... There are several types available thru McMaster-Carr and others, but they do not neccesarily have the correct geometry to work in this app...
Try Chuck's convertible tops website; here's a PDF showing a VW locking mechanism. Try to find an image of what you need and contact them.

I have the style on the left is that what a lot of you guys have?
The one on the right is what you would get from Vintage.
I replaced ones like that on the top bow I got from Vintage with some like on the left.
Apparently ones like the one on the left are no longer made, although I like them much better.
Maybe you can find some with a Google search or on eBay.
