I just emailed the guy and asked him if he was REALLY sure it was an Intermeccanica. I'll let you know if he replies.

I am guessing.....but could this be a kit that was completed in 90???? But was actually purchased in early 80's????

Now here is one that if I were looking to buy I would look at more closely. This may be a sleeper and a good deal as I don't think this person really knows what they have.

What is a good price for a 80's Intermeccanica? And is there a noticeable driving difference VW pan vs. Chassis built Intermeccanica. From what I can tell from the photos, this car needs some work on the interior.

Gary, if you're going to purchase an Intermeccanica go with the tube frame car. Prices really vary on the condition of the vehicle and extras/upgrades. If you want an 88/89 (not sure which year it is) IM with a Porsche 2.7 motor in it give Henry at Intermeccanica a call. Since the IM factory is in Vancouver, there are quite a few IMs running around the Vancouver area, and Henry often has nice used IMs for sale.

This is not the Intermeccanica car everyone raves about today....pass on it......do some research on the one I mentioned above.
