The license plate looks familiar, but I can't be sure. Is this the Malibu car up for a quick flip?

Troy, do you remember if that's the license plate from the Malibu car? 3RQS381.

Regardless, good looking car for sale in the LA area.

Yup. That's the Topanga canyon / Malibu car, up for a quick flip. I checked my Google.drive images and that's the same license plate from the Malibu car. It still has the electrical tape on the license plate light, covering one of the missing lenses. I'm on my phone right now or I would post the photo I have from when Jim looked at it for me. I'm not sure why, but the license plate stuck in my head and I thought it looked familiar. I had to check.

That car was listed at 15k, then 16k shortly after Jim looked at it. 6 weeks later it's offered at 27, or best offer.

Troy's book: Leather bound hard copy, stored in a library rimmed in rich mahogany.

This guys book: Mad magazine on the back of the toilet.

(Troy would never leave black electrical tape over the lens of the license plate light. )

All joking and ribbing aside, I don't know who bought it or all what he did to it. I think it'd be great if he did a detailed refurb of the car.The car had a lot of upside, but it was pretty clapped out for 15k.

Knowing what was wrong with it when is owned by the Topanga hippy - I'd be willing to forward along those details if anyone is interested in this car. You could check each item which was listed to see if they have been corrected.

I'd love to see that car go for 27! Gives us all a bit of hope that there is an upside to the madness.

Yeah, that's the truth!

What's up with the rear bumper? Anyone know?

Troy - send you a dialog.

Look at how the outer tips of the rear bumper point out away from the body. That seems odd to me.

The overriders also don't seem to 'fit' the bumper right. They don't form to the bumper properly. Do all overriders fit this poorly or is it a matter of position and taking the care to make them actually 'fit' properly?

The front bumper has wider parts on either side of the nose (which is often where fog lights are mounted) so no a front used on rear (unless someone cut out those parts).  CMCs (this appears to be a VS though) don't come with a rubber piece between the over rider and the bumper bar - which leaves an un-finished look.  It can be added though. If they were farther towards ends they would fit better (see my avatar ).  They are usually raw aluminum so could be shaped to fit better too.
