Same here. There's something about coastal atmospheric conditions.

I haven't been to Galveston in nearly 30 years, but I remember it fondly. I lived in Houston from Sept. 78 through Dec. 81.

Well after pondering the name thing over the weekend, and seeing Opal and Penny and El Diablo, I needed a name for my girl. Orginally I thought I would call her Blondey, but upon further review I think its gonna be Lola, you know the song "her name was Lola she was a show girl".

What do ya think, suggestions?

Every time I hear "Lola" I think of the song by The Kinks. That one may have some unique connotations that you want to avoid.

Jennifer, you may be better off calling her Ebony.

Or..... PATRICIA.....she was a stripper you know!

When I think of the name "Lola" I think of a song from the 50's. Included within the lyrics of the song were the words, "whatever Lola wants, Lola gets...." Does that sound like a Speedster? Well, quite frankly, yes, sometimes I think it does.

I like Ebony, but my car is white. Hmmmm, maybe Lola is a bad choice. Jim I. what do ya think, your good with name's.

How about "Snow White"

Alan, back to your original question, we call the car either the Sloppy Jalopy or the Hoopty. Neither one really allows us to take the car very seriously. The picture above just doesn't really do it justice, and since I haven't posted these in a while (and never get tired of seeing them) ...

Great topic! My Spyders name is Muttley. I took it from the cartoon character dog Muttley. If you have ever seen Muttley he has a very funny laugh, that is the noise I hear every time something goes wrong with the car.
