It must be time to get welcomed to "the madness". I purchased this 1997 VS with 1492 kilometers knowing the engine had issues as in .023 end play at the crank as well as others. As you can see from the pictures I first had to seperate the two who became conjoined at the doors after a few weeks in tight quarters. I have since then removed the engine, disassembled it and ordered parts to repair and upgrade. I am also in the process of going over the entire car for piece of mind and upgrading as necessary. As you can see from one of the pictures the fuel delivery system
left a lot to be desired. For the most part the build was executed rather well except for the engine and additional guages in the dash which will disappear. My intention is to get the car as close to the 57 speester look it was meant to be. More pic's to follow once presentable.
I have followed this forum for some time and find it both amusing and filled with lots of great information. My background is Porsche and VW as well as most imports prior to 1984 and if I can be of assistance to any of you please don't hesitate to ask.
