Three cylinders, 88 pounds, 400 horsepower:

Very cool; let's see how long it lasts...
I think that is extremely cool, but I wonder about its suitability as the car's motive force. If it's designed to run the generator in the race car it may be intended to run in a very narrow rev range. I'd really like to see the dyno graph for it.
I'll bet it sounds like a demon from hell.
I can see some kick-ass lawn mowers and go carts down the road.
Or a car with one for each wheel. 1600hp and still only 352 lbs of engines.
WOOZA! I see it being detuned to about 220-240hp...and Kennedy marketing an adapter for it!
Less than 12" wide?...easy to get at the spark plugs!
bar stool racing!!!!with the $$$ they have to work with it should work great&after a few races be very reliable. I remember back in the old days(10~15 years back) the offshore racers were using a stock gm v6 inbetween/infront of the race motors to run the electrick & hydrolick pumps so the race engines just had an oil pump& water pump to drive, and if one engine broke they still had all power to hyd&elect.
Hmmm..... Leaf motor and a turbo....
Are they calling it the Leafblower?
"Leafblower"?...I like that
Just as "Suby" became the popular subrogate of Subaru, I vote that this engine, (should it ever get into the hands of wackos like us), be referred to as a Leafblower!
"Yeah...Got a 6 speed synchro hooked up to the Leafblower. I only run a seven or eight pound boost unless I'm autocrossing it"
.....I should live long enough
And speaking of wackos...
I wonder how long it is before someone builds a 250-lb motorcycle around this 400 hp motor.
Like so many race engines, they're designed to run at high RPM's with little or no bottom end torque. I would guess it's power curve is between 8,000 and 14,000 RPM's. Probably not practical for a street driven car. Maybe a motorcycle due to it's light weight but a car that needs to accelerate rapidly from idle, I doubt it will be practical. Listen to F1 cars when they leave the pits, they have to rev the engine up to 10,000 RPM just to get moving.
