Seriously?
People. Wow.
I guess we will need more security and a Glock.
All it takes is one Bad Guy...
The Bay Area is not the same Bay Area that I remember back in the day. Were these cars simply started and driven away 'in plain site'? Pushed some distance away and then started/towed or put in a trailer or on a flat bed? This is where hidden and creative ignition and or fuel kill switch(s) could have prevented the theft. Fuel kill switch probably probably the better method if you had to have just one. Security is a matter of risk vs convenience however.
I hope the rat bastards that stole that car get caught and get their a$$es beat!!
I have a feeling, unfortunately, that both the 356 and vintage Chevy Impala that were stolen at that show are both in a container (along with other stolen cars) heading somewhere overseas.

Hidden GPS tracker is even better.
My first roadster number was 87054 and seeing Cory's car brings back real memories. Best of luck in recovery, and hopes that it never makes it to a container.

Posting for a friend in the Bay Area. If anyone sees or knows about this car please email me or the Pleasanton, CA Police Dept. This Black 1960 Porsche 356 Roadster was stolen from the parking lot the day of the Good Guys show in Pleasanton, CA recently. It's been in long time ownership and is really missed! Another car, an original 63 Impala was stolen the same day same place. Can't miss it. It's got low profile tires wheels with 65 C Discs in front and stock drums in back. Black on Black. VIN 87373
@Napa Paul I was thinking of driving my car but thought it was more AMerican Classic car show. Maybe they would have taken that too
I sleep a little better at night knowing I've got a LoJack installed in my Speedy. Of course, that AND knowing I've got Agreed Upon Value insurance with State Farm - Ha!
That’s really a shame- sorry that happened.
I’m having Greg install a hidden kill switch under the dash with my car. What are some of the other owners doing for theft deterrents?
After kill switches and other theft deterrents (locked garage, park in plain sight, tie a doberman to it) Google LoJack Vehicle Recovery System
My IM has a hidden kill switch that I always forget to use, unless I am overnight somewhere. I try to park in safe places, and it's always stored in a locked garage.
I feel sorry for the owner of this stolen car. That sucks.
i was using a battery kill switch, its a knob on top of one of the battery poles, unscrew it and take it with u
For those that want your car they will get it, Very simple to grab a Speedster or Beetle in under 20 seconds and be in route ~
Just remove the distributor rotor (takes 10 seconds) and put it in your pocket.
