it's Green!

Well there is now paint on the body! Looks a little lighter than I thought but codes are correct so it may just be the sun & my monitor.

Tom - the color looks fantastic. Yes, it's bright out in the blazing sun, but it's a color that will change with the lighting.
I was at JPS today as your car returned from paint. I'll add to the collection, if you don't mind.

Tom, is that an original 356 color. If so what is the paint code number? It looks great.

Nope. It's dark british racing green. It is close to an original color though. John, thanks for the additional pics. Color looks more like what I was expecting in your pics - at least on my monitor.

I can only imagine the excitement. The green of the car only just exceeds the green of my envy. You are getting pictures, and the thing is coming together -- such a day!! The first few snaps must suffer from some sort of digital color bias, as these are pretty washed out. BRG is darker, and the latter shots show this. I see shiny wheels underneath, and a peek at a tan seat in one shot. This combo is going to knock you over when it all comes together. Maybe we'll be seeing some snaps of a red car real soon -- I sure hope so. Maybe John can put them side by side, take few shots, and then use these for his Christmas card in December. Hey Gerd: if time and circumstance allow, see if you can get that shot.

That's him. I think he'd look good in some decal form on your car. Ask John Steele to arrange and pay for it in exchange for unlimited promotional photo use...you didn't already sign a release did you?

Tom - maybe put that Green Hornet decal on the underside of the engine lid (rain pan)?

Oh, by the way, that car is WAY TOO COOL! Should be a lot of fun goofing on the P-car guys when you drive it around!

It's a ceramic coated header by A-1 Performance. Tubes are 1 5/8" ( I think ) with final tube 3". It looks like what I've seen called a sidewinder, not sure - is that a brand name? Should look and sound very cool. We'll see.

One more....Are those heaterboxes I see under there?

Any idea about how that fan shroud will work to cool the engine? It looks interesting.

Any idea when you are going to mold another one for me?

Hope you don't mind a newbie contributing! Tom, I have spent hours reading through all the posts around your car and bouncing back and forth to the JPS site over the last few weeks. I've now started an email conversation with John to put a quote together for a Ruby Red/Black Leather Carrera Coupe. I essentially want your car in my color combination so its been great to read your posts and see what John can do that isn't spelled out on his posted option list. Since I was born in '56 I'm hoping he can do Beehives and the license plate down light for me to replicate a '56. We'll see how he responds. I am still a ways off from moving forward with an order and down pay in January '08 to pick up the car in June. From what I've read, I might as well have that expectation going in :) BEAUTIFUL car and I'm anxious to see you post a pic behind the wheel!
