Wait guys . . . I"M NOT FAMOUS. Not unless I get my mug photoshopped into one of those pics destined for the Mag. I suspect there will be plenty of JPS references, but likely little or no T. Dewalt reference. That's fine by me. Besides, there is no way to come close to the spotlight shining on your car at Carlisle last year Lane or yours this year Cory. You guys are REALLY FAMOUS! All this is is fodder for swapping lies over a brew or two in years to come. That's very cool in itself. And more than enough for me. I have had a ton of fun posting my highs and lows from this emotional roller coaster and my plans and dreams for this car on this site. I also appreciate all the input and encouragement. You guys have been really a great asset. Thanks to all!

Look for final photos tomorrow before she ships. I'll post what I get. Then just the arrival to document and this chapter will be H-I-S-T-O-R-Y. Someone else can move to front and center and I can share in their joy and pain as they proceed through this process. (faster I hope). My hat's off to all those SAW/SAS folks waiting for so long. How DO YOU do it? NOLAN???? You're a SAINT in my book!

Hey, Kelly -- I don't live all that far from you. If you need a taxi up to PA on Tuesday or Wednesday, I'd offer just to see that pair of gems together and get a few pics of them. It wouldn't be a road trip in the Hoopty, but that should be okay as long as the transporter doesn't need to be towed anywhere....
Thanks Chuck,

Geez and I thought I was beating a dead horse that nobody was interested in much anymore . . . Thanks for the replies. Replies are what drive me on! Tell me how you feel about the car even if you think it looks stupid or ugly. I live for the feedback especially with no car shipping yet. I'm also sans speedy at present as the front transmount rubber failed. I think it was the result of that castle nut debacle. I'm pretty sure that WAS NOT caused by Carey's crew, but rather by PA's enhanced inspectioin guys who pulled the rear wheel and failed to torque it correctly. So here I sit driving a Dewalt's RV beater Suburban with 117k miles on it . . . . ARGGHHHHHHH!

Well here is the latest . . .

John is pretty frustrated with me (and all his customers) for always askin' for pictures. Says he spends so much time snapping and sending photos he has no time to build. I have been pretty relentless in asking, but . . . I think I paid for the privilege(????). Marchal repros came in with 6v instead of 12v, truck was also delayed in picking up(??). I think car was still not complete and John needed a bit more time. He's so frustrated by all his customers asking for pics, he says he asked John Leader to take the final pictures this morning and send them to me. No pics so far and it's 2:45pm on the east coast. John says he confirmed with trucking co that the cars will arrive no later than 8/25. Cars were to be loaded this AM. No confirmation on that so far.

As soon as I have more info, I will post - same for the pictures.

Hey, I like John, but he's no Carey Hines IMHO.

and Gordon . . . You think it's killin' you . . . you should be sitting in my chair. This is EXCRUCIATING. the closer it gets the more painful every little delay seems to be . . . ARGHHHHHHHHH!

Tom, I TOTALLY get where you are this fine afternoon.
In November, I was you. The only real difference is that I could walk around my car, cutting circles in a concrete floor, wondering when I was going to figure out the next thing.
Add to that that in the eleventh hour, Jim decided to have a smoke and drink a Coke before firing it up for the first time, and you're in EXACTLY the same shoes waiting on foglight conversions. It's the little things in the final moments that add to the timpany drumroll ...
We're all here with you, waiting. Kelly, too, except that he's been able to have the occasional double-clutch joyride in the interim.
FWIW (ask your teenagers), I'm working today and tomorrow, off Sunday and Monday, working Tuesday and Wednesday and off again Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Give a ring to exchange phone numbers so we have them when it's relevant next week, eh?

OK, so the Green Hornet and the Maroon Marauder (a Dynamic Duo if there ever was one) are finally on their way. I got a note from JPS today that indicated as much. Can you believe these two cars?? They do look good together. I guess we can say they are fraternal twins.

Eddy: so you are Coupe #3?? Congrats, and don't let us down: send pics and tell us all about your new build. Love to find out how you have sliced the balogna, so to speak.
I am not sure if my coupe is #3 or not. I am supposed to be #5, however, John called me a few days ago and told me that through some error (or my good fortune) that he has a silver coupe already painted and if I want to take it, he can build it for me. That is why I was there this afternoon to make sure that silver is really the color that I want. Luckily I have been thinking for a while to have a silver coupe replica.
I made the decision after reading a lot of the postings over here and visiting and talking to John many times. I will post some pictures of my build, however, I doubt it will be as exciting as this one. Kelly & Tom, keep us posted after you get your cars and what happened after you drive them as this is my 1st experience with replica car
