kind of embarrassing, but i guess shows how i don't drive my car that hard.

i am in the middle (final stages) of building my own hidden linkage for my 44 IDF's and when i was testing it i noticed that on full throttle, my drivers side carb only opens 3/4. when i had my CB hex linkage - this would have limited full throttle to 3/4 too.

ya.

like i said, a little embarrassing that i just found this, but i'm pretty stoked now that it's fixed. free hp is the best kind.

FIY - it was the gasket between the manifold that was preventing the full rotation of the butterfly arm.

anyway - my new linkage is all fabbed up and spot welded. i am going to sleep on the design before i fully weld it.

it's all theoretical power at this point. my car is still in a million pieces and i am putting in the hours to get it back on the road for April.
