Thanks guys,

Now for some specs:

Yes Subaru 6 cylinder 3.0L engine putting out 330hp

Transaxle is also Subaru. It was a WRX all wheel drive 5 speed that we installed and made fit a VW chassis.

Seat is an Audi TT seat that we made special brackets to fit the VW pan.

Wheels are Mustang 17 x 8's that will fit under stock VW fenders with our suspension, however unless you have a Wide body porsche they will not fit without being narrowed.

Let me know if you guys want to know other stuff.

Outstanding work and thanks for sharing. If that's a Soob tranny, did you install one of those Aussie reverse direction ring and pinions? I don't know any better, but with all the front suspension and then the cut and fit for the rear, why would you not start with your own custom chassis, move all the Soob stuff from the front of the donor car straight back into a mid engine scenario ? Just curious...real nice stuff.

Yes subi gears kit for the trtrans the was not any cutting as we make a kit to install it in the Vw chassis. Why manufacture stuff that will only work with other custom parts. If you build around stock or factory parts, replacement parts are easy to find. As far as mid engineWe our chassis parts fit on any type 1 chassis, then it twill fit under any type one car.

Thanks

Well things are finally moving forward on Doug's Speedster. I ran into quite a few set backs with taking over Mendeola Suspension and launching CoolRydes Custom Creations. However now I am glad to be able to post up some progress photos of DougR IM-Mendeola2B AZ Speedster overhall..... Next up the Porsche 915 five speed install and then the body goes back on....

See you guys around....

Hello, Eddy

Thanks and I'm going to try to make it up for some cruising on the way up, but have to turn around to come back down for some previous engagements. I'd like to go out and stretch the legs on my 300hp turbo injected Speedster as it just sits in the shop most of the time.

Bill,

Sure I'll do a layaway plan just for you.....

Kevin,

Your work is so clean and efficient that it's an art form.  You know how to do it the right way.  Regarding your 3.0L H6 engine, how did you get it to 330 HP from 250?  I thought about a 6, but it seemed like a complete teardown with new pistons and bottom end was needed to turbo it, since it had 10.7:1 compression.  Did you go with all new internals?

Thanks, man.  Keep up the good work, and keep posting pics!

Jim,

Thank you. As for the HP changes. We use the EX30r engines, they have better cams. That and the fact that we do not use any of the stock smog stuff (including cats), and the fact that we are putting the power down through a standard trans and not an auto, allows us to get a better HP result. Our engines are 100% stock long blocks. It is true if you want to turbo you'll need pistons, rods, and crank. Having driven quite a few of these installed in different cars, I don't think a turbo is really needed.

Now for the latest Speedster chassis going together......
