Chuck, if those pipes are of a decent wall-thickness, hang onto them. They're very helpful when you're trying to get a muffler shop to repair damaged or rusty sections.

While most shops have tubing benders which will accomplish almost any bend you'd find in a modern car, our systems have several crazy loops and connections that require sharper turns than they can manage.

I understand you probably have those left over from the installation of your heater boxes, but have a look under there and see if they're useable on the rest of your system before you part with them.
No worries. We're all in this together.

It's especially useful to keep those sharp bends in order to hack smaller, quarter- or eighth-turn sections of the bends. Since we have all those turns in the pipes, even changing from one style of muffler to another can mean having to re-route, 90- or even 180-turn the direction of travel of those exhaust pipes.

Dust them with a little WD-40, wipe them off and put 'em in a sealed bag with a couple dessicant packets to keep them from rusting. Put a note on the backsplash of your workbench to remind you where you put the bag. ;)
