Ok I do like the concept But if someone cross a mig wielder that could wield in the same micro manner and and incorperate it into the dimencion printer sustituting plastic with real steel, aluminum, brass or what ever is needed. In a swap able wielding head..

You could really have a in house repair unit for almost anything right on the spot with the actual replacement part In your hands right then,, right there.

I really can see this as a practial possibilty those kind of wielding heads already exzist.

It a real good idea..
A few years ago we played with a smaller version of this that was able to make small plastic parts with a rapid proto machine. Was about $10,000.00 for this particular machine. They even thought that the price was going to get to the level where it will be under $1000.00 and become a home unit for people to make stuff.

Worked with CAD and this machine was powder. I think the one in Leno's garage is about 50K.

I took the liberty of contacting Deminshion printing about developing a mini wielding head for to fit their machine If they could make one that way It would be a engine builders dream come true

a aluminum mig head could make any engine part even custom heads. i hve seen cadd programs that can alter parts on demand..

Think of it from rendering to the actual usable part in a few hrs.
