I spent my high school years in Modesto in the mid to late 60's. This gave me the opportunity to visit the Fillmore Auditorium, Avalon Ballroom, Mt Tamalpais...etc; and partake in one of the most seminal music scenes in history. Jefferson Airplane, the Doors, Byrds, Country Joe and the Fish, Jimi Hendrix and it goes on and on. Janis was my favorite. She had a special connection with the listeners and she introduced me to the Blues. Memories.
