I had to start a new thread on this one as I could not post a picture when responding to the thread in ANYTHING GOES. (pick up on that one and you will see why this post.............

I, too, loved the old A's and B's. I had 4 A's over the years and my last one was a 1932 Model B. (picture below) which I used as a marketing tool for my horseshoeing business back in the late '60's. I put aGM 283 in it because of the steel I was carrying (anvil, forge, horseshoes, etc, etc) but kept it looking original and sounding that way, too. I drove it that way for three years and then traded it.

When the time came to get a newer rig the trade was unique ... we were having dinner with the family Doctor and he mentioned he would like to buy the truck. I had just ordered a new Ford van so we made a trade - my truck for his billing for the birth of our daughter (an event due in 3 months). He wrote off his bill and paid the hospital bill (all of this back in 1970). I have often pointed out that HIS side of the deal was pretty good as he could put it in the garage and TURN IT OFF! My end of the deal still keeps putting along :-)

Let's see if anyone on this forum can beat that trade !!
