Jim,
That is a sweet badge. At the Toy/Lit show in LA this weekend not as nice were $100 bucks. Snatch it.

Wheelie bar attachment points?
I thought of that, but they don't look rugged enough.......
boat trailer?
That old tear drop or single wheel trailer uses those type of mounts.
Former Member
Wolfgang, you're right! The former owner constructed a small single wheel trailer TO HANG BEHIND THE SPEEDSTER!!! (with an easy on/off adjustment underneath the car!) The very first thing I did when I picked up the car at the Rotterdam harbour was take off these rods! Anyone interested...

Mart, thanks anyway, but I am set!. Patrick, very cool(and did you pick a color yet?). George, what a great thing! But, are they sandcast? Kidding. Thank you George. P-mail Coming. Steve, I ordered the knobs, P-mail coming.

Jim,
I think yes. As much as I love the Merlot red, I have to consider the fact that the majority of buyers may not. So a more traditional red looks to be in the mix. Maybe not the bright red you see on a Lexus or Acura, but a more like Ruby red.
And it may have a trailer too.

A trailer is cool Patrick, just as long as it doesn't have any sandcast hinges and stuff.

Steven, this is in the parcel on it's way to you. Good luck with it! Mart.

I just bought an original, not too badly beaten TC, for thirty-ish bucks, but didn't read the seller's shipping instruction...oops, only ships in Germany! Waiting to see what happens.

Troy,
Nice score. That guy is the best, isn't he?!?! He's got nearly everything brand new selling for less than half of what other's are selling used and beat-up stuff for.

Paul,
The originals are really charming. They don't have the surrounding chromed "gear cog" motif and they're cloisonne rather than enamel. Of course, the original ones are . . . original . . . and as old as the original cars themselves and seem to start at $100.00!
I've got one of each (two different cars) and think that both are kinda neat. My Father used to travel the world with The Ancient and Honorable Artillery and he'd bring back badges and number plates for me from where ever they went. Some of them are really little works of art! Little three inch treasures . . .
Luck!
