Ron, I was not at the Knotts show this year, I went to Paso instead.
If you came up to me at any time, I would treat you with the utmost respect, at least until you messed it up....
I probably would not have made the same trip up the coast to meet "the boys" a few weeks later, but it seems fishy that they didn't even mention it on this site....And for Jim to say he "decided to get together with some friends/owners" when he lives half way across the country, also seems a little shakey to me.....A few years ago that same trip was recorded mile for mile and well documented....
I'm not trying to start something here, I already have all the friends I need, but don't call me Bro and then ignore me, it pisses me off.....
Vince,
If you check back in the archives you'll see that the San Luis Obispo 356 Meet was discussed in an Anything Goes thread. Not only that, YOU participated in the discussion!

Believe it or not, it's not always about you. Lighten up.

God, I must be losing it...Can't seem to remember anything like that.
Oh well, sorry guys, next time I try to start something, I'll try to be better prepared....It's really not about me, I just like to break balls.....
John, I can't believe you sold that most beautiful car....

SLO on the uptake! Much discussion and a lot of whining about cost.
Too funny.
The number of categories to enter your P-car 356 rivals that of the replica-cobra clubzzz. I think the 356-ers that didn't care for our participation were maybe in the lesser 356 categories? Cars that were easily outclassed by the likes of Leader,Bates,Ward,Sloan and company!
Dale's Sacratomato 356 friends do seem nicer than some of those SoCal clowns. Some drive almost as wild as Bruce Gordon, almost!

Paul -
I would guess that you would find the cars of Leader, Bates, Ward & Sloan at the top-of-the-class at any car event.

"Leader, Bates, Ward & Sloan" - sounds like a law firm.
Kind of like the Car Guys' Dewey, Cheatam & Howe.
Dale's for its original feel or aura
Jim's for its exactness and presence
John's for sublte class or grace
Scotts 'cuz it is my favorite rendition
...and there are a ton more of great examples on this site. I just happen to run with this fast crowd and I catch a glimpse of these cars more frequently than others.
I'd love to see the outlaw that was built across the pond that detailed his build here...name escapes me.
I'd love to drive the guy's car with the 3,2, I think he is in Canada?
It did sound like a law firm. Pretty funny if you know the guys! They'd put Boston Legal to shame!

All lovely cars - definately on my list of favorites. But here is my #1 favorite car. Not so much because of the car, but because of the owner. He's such a great enthusiast. Gone with him on a couple of runs - fun guy great company. He and his son keep this little car in flawless tune and _______ drives the wheels off it.
Can you guess who it is from the pics?

I have to backup the fact that SLO was discussed many times. There are many get-together's for the car-loving world. I am happy when the participants have good time. We are in plans now for Paso Robles next year. Hope next year everyone has a great time!!

Theron, Paso "06" was a blast. Can't wait for "07".....
I reread the link Leader attached to this thread, still can't see the discussion about those guys meeting....That's cool, I get the big picture.......

Hey Vince Ole SUC Pal.
I'm with you. Paul was acting a little suspicious too and never mentioned "The Exclusive Trip". Personally I think they only allow 50k & up Speedsters to run in their groupe. I don't think your CMC would make it in. I know my Speedster shaped moped, even with the Bivens and original 356 Speedo would certainly not make it. Oh well, I still enjoy riding it wearing that James Dean shirt you sold me. Can't figure out why I'm getting rashes all over my torso...Must be the freakin' Moped.

Is that what you told your wife about the rash? I guess what happens in Moped-ville, stays in Moped-ville you big-bike seat straddler, you!

Dale, please put me in the loop for the Intermeccanica picnic. I know I haven't been a reliable date, but I may have some time off in the not-too-distant future, and I would enjoy a drive north. I'll send you an e-mail too. S.

Scott, You missed the party by about a month. The BBQ happened mid July and was fantastic. I'd love to meet you for lunch, perhaps Aug 19 somewhere in your neck of the woods? I'll tell you all about it and you can start planning for next years, the 50th anniversary of Intermeccanica.
