Nicely engineered speedster, where do it go and did you tell them about this Knucklehead group ? I know that there will be other projects to come :~)
Congratulations, Joe! On to the next thing.
Good for you @Jogyver.
Where's it going, Joe? Local or far away? Glad I got a chance to see it live.
My old home town. It will soon acquire a taste for barbecue and blues music.
I also sold mine a couple of months ago. You owned your speedster I long time, didn't you? I owned my IM, off and on, since 2000.
Sorry I have not visited lately. Been going through some life changing situations.
The new owner sent me a few pictures of what he has done to the ol speedster. He went euro style with the translucant black chrome look. Looks nice.
some update photos of the bug included

Joe:
Good to hear from you. Hope all is well.
I remember following Joe's build when I first discovered SOC back in early 2000's. His build and Jim Ward's adventures along with TC's rants were hi-lites! Not sure it all survived the move to the new forum website - I still miss easily looking at users' photos via their profile. (HA, I can't even look at my own now)!
Joe's BEFORE shot:
After:
TC and George Brown really used to get into it...it was fun just reading their back and forth barbs.
I too miss being able to look at users' photos. That was one nice thing about the old site.
But, just having a site to discuss Speedster stuff is a good thing.
Yes this site has changed. It took me a little time to navigate around. The photos of my build are still available.
I remember George, but I don't remember TC. I do remember some of the heated discussions that George and Jake had.
George was a bully and a wanker. TC was neither, but he was goofy. The technical psychological term is "goofy as a sh*t house rat".
Actually, one of the nicest times I had at the first Carlisle gathering, was meeting George Brown and talking with him. George did have strong ideas on how things 'should be done' (especially with the engine in his IM - which was a beautiful silver Speedster that I would have bought from his estate had I been able to at the time), but in person, he was a really nice guy. At the first Carlisle, most of us had never met, but talking to George was like meeting an old friend, and I enjoyed the time I got to spend with him. He wasn't cantankerous or anything - he just enjoyed talking Speedsters and about life in general.
His was the famous quote: 'None of us know how many summers we have left', and in George's case that was a premonition of things to come, too soon for him.
Joe's was one of the first Speedsters I really studied as a build a few years ago. It's too bad the new owner doesn't come on here.
He obviously had one of the most unique interiors on the SOC. Which makes it as good a place to post this pic as anywhere, just stumbled across it looking at seats.
