Over these past few months... I've thought to sell my JPS... buy an Intermeccanica... after I've test drove and seen soooooo many posts from people loving their IMs... Instead... I thought to buy a G35... Which I absolutely love... closest thing to a "race car" I've ever driven... and I driven alot of cars... And I've decided to keep definitely keep my JPS... just get it running properly...

So back to MY JPS... my "Baby-car"... John installed an 1835 after 1 1/2 years of back in forth trips to a mechanic (shop name, Autobahn on Dougherty RD in Dublin)... this guy's a total flake, cheat and bad mechanic... don't ever use him... after he charged me $5k to put in a newly rebuilt 1776... and more bucks for other things he tried to fix but realy didn't... the engine never worked properly, overheated tremendously, and leaked a TON of oil... than ran into transmission issues because of his work on the engine... And I'd need to check before and after each drive... my oil level... which typically required 1/4 of a quart to refill every time I checked it...

Well John... put in an 1835 the other day... got it working perfectly... it's a used engine with only 5K miles... so it's broken in already... so I picked it up yesterday... drove home from LA to SF... half-way home... doing about 90MPH most of the 6 hour trip... it was running FANTASTICALLY... with absolutely no worries about overheating... I then get pulled over... Fortunately that CHP Officer was a nice guy... wrote me up for 10+ over the speed limit (ticket for 75mph)... when he said I was doing between 85 and 90mph (which I definitely was)... plus after he checked on me and the car... licensing... insurance... NO CONCERNS ABOUT MY EUROSIGN "fake" LICENSE PLATE... which my CHP Captain friend told me... is a VERY ticketable issue... but it's only a $10 fixit ticket... I asked how many fixit ticket I need to get before jail time... he said, so long as you pay for it... NO PROBLEMS... so hey... 10 bucks to add to my car's look... not a bad price... which is zero so far...

But back to John at JPS... HE IS DA MAN!!! He, Hahn and his two other guys had more little things to do... BUT IT'S NOT ONLY LOOKING GOOD... IT'S SOUNDING GOOD AND IT'S RUNNING GOOD... AND MUCH FASTER TOO... mostly I'm not fearing to overheat and blow the engine up again... HERE COME'S MY SUMMER US CROSS-COUNTY TRIP...

So for any of you out there thinking of buying a replicar... I am so happy to give you my "biased" opinion about John and his cars... Not only is he a GREAT builder... He's even a better maintenace and warranty guy... TOTALLY STAND BEHIND HIS PRODUCT... Plus he's just a super human being. And my car's #1... the very first speedster he ever built... so take a look at it... with all his new upgrades... a good thing is now better... People are most superised at the paint job since it's so old... but I (actually john) has done some touch-up paint work... buy the paint is still original... and that's looking good too.

Thanks JOHN... if you're out there...
