I've been trying not to post in this thread, but feel like I need to.  If I've broken any laws, which I guess I will find out soon enough, it certainly wasn't intentional.

In my second year of doing this, someone said they thought there was a limit of 5 cars per year that could be sold, so the next time I was at the DMV I asked.  They told me that as long as the cars were registered in my name there was no problem and every car I have ever sold in my life has been registered in my name, so I don't believe I have broken any laws.  Hopefully, what they told me was correct and based on what Koda posted it appears that it was.  Based on what the DMV told me, I've never had a reason to even give it a second thought.

    Looking for some diagnostic speculation pertaining to Lane's problems (since I have something similar) I stumbled upon this three page thread for the first time...Holy cow!!!

    Where the devil was I on Friday the third when this contentious diatribe found wings?!!!...Great entertainment of witty intelligence fenching with caustic sarcasm.

    The next time a thread like this becomes snarly, will some one please send me a 'heads up' PM so I plug in the popcorn popper and find my bottle of Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum? 

Why are u even sweating this...I remember those old posts because it prompted me to ask the same question to my DMV here in Fl.  3 cars per year is our law...  And if I remember correctly at one point you said you had to wait to sell a car until January a few years back because you we're going by what the law told you.

Uh, I stepped out for a minute. Did I miss anything? Was Jerry Freeman able to get his transmission repaired by JPS? I hope he got positive results and is back on the road driving his Speedster.

Troy I don't think this entire thread was about breaking the law as much as it was about controversial and confrontational posts. Hopefully it is all done.

I totally understand where you are coming from Flyenby, people love to hate the messenger and not the message. You made me research my state, not that I sell cars but I was just curious, so thank you for allowing me to learn something new.

Can somebody please explain what happened here, I really like the discontent but not wanting to read thru 4 pages of BS, I would really like the shortened version of who is unhappy, or offended, so I can enjoy the thread more...

I made a statement that in Calif..if you are going to sell multiple cars you should have a Dealers License. You would need a business license, and pay all the appropriate taxes. It is not a level playing field when you compete against Dealers who have all the licenses and overhead. 

Jerry is getting a new transmission.  Some guys are still pissed at JPS for their on again off again customer service.  Flyenby thinks that Troy should be a dealer because he flips cars and everyone else just thinks "who gives a rats ass". 

Wait you want to block Flyenby for actual just stating a law that applies in his state?
Due to him I looked up the laws in my state, not that I buy or sell cars but it was a very informative and good to know. I believe even though feathers got rustled for what ever reason, information actually was learned and exchanged.
I say all in all good thing.

While I am not sure some people post some accusations and or opinions without doing their homework, I would hate to think that anyone with any opinion about anything would be excluded from posting here.  How boring this forum would be if we all thought alike.
