Patric,
I had a car with Vintage seats, and I have a new JPS. They are totally different seats. The Vintage seats are copies of cut-down 914 seats, and look great- but are too high, and too narrow to be comfortable. I'm 6 ft tall too- your head will be in the wind. The JPS seats are pretty much exact copies (in fiberglass) of original speedster seats. They look uncomfortable at first, but they fit much better. I sit quite a bit lower in the car- I'm completely behind the glass, and top up is a MUCH improved situation. Comfort wise, they are great- wider (I weigh 210), and tipped more to the rear. I love the seats- I had John install hinges on the passenger side so it can tip forward for rear access. They are comfortable, and look original. Now if only they were heated....
