If you are kinda reluctantly on the fence about cutting your losses why not tap all of the people and resources offered up to you here on the forum and get it repaired by those who can help. Either bring it North to me and work South, or the opposite. Each stop over someone would/could apply their skills to what needs fixing, then on to the next person. One does the re-fiberglassing in the rear to seal the body to pan leaks, another takes care of the brake light problems and double checks the entire braking system while they're at it, then on to someone who can deal with the wiper assembly, the leaks and problems with it, and so on.

You'll get the car finished correctly, we'll all get to claim credit and a terrific story will follow forever. Rather than a car that needs work that you're selling at a loss, you have a perfectly sorted car with a unique history that all ended wonderfully.

Sorry to hear about your decision to sell as well as your issues with the builder.

Since I do my own work the problems you have been having are things that are not all that big a deal to me

I read your vendor report. What are you looking as a price as I have no idea where you are at on it. If you want to start from scratch I have a kit that I have not started. VA is closer then TX.

Update

Looks like the generous right-coast SOC gang is going to put this baby into order in the coming weeks. As a result the for sale sign is taken down pending the outcome. I may still sell her, but in a top-notch sorted condition with no worries for the buyer or maybe I'll just keep her.

Lane, I'm not getting out.

I need to sell at least one or the other soon. If I do sell both, it will only be temporary. I'll be back in rather quickly (I hope). Perhaps in something used for now.

Setting my sights on a water-cooled from Carey (hopefully with roll-up windows) down the road a piece.

Question Does Beck offer roll down windows in the Speedster or is that only going to be for the 2 65 Cabs Carey is building this yr?I'm guessing that the engineering change that would have to be done would be quite costly. IM does it but then of course your paying a bit more.

The Beck Speedster has side curtains for that wind-in-face, rain-in-lap experience ;-)

Carey says they are in the works (roll-ups) but at the mercy of supplier tooling the glass. Perhaps by next year. Not sure how much extra they will be.
