jps coupe replica

I am intrigued by the coupe replica that JPS is putting out starting this spring. Has anyone seen a prototype? I had an opportunity to buy a real 356 B coupe in college and passed it up for an Alfa Romeo GTV. Bad maintenance choice. My repair bills were more a month than my car payments.

Coupes are cool because they're more usable in bad weather and as a daily driver. I wonder if they'll offer it as a kit too. A friend of mine has a nice '68 chassis and he wants to put it to good use.

Still waiting to see the JPS coupe myself. Hopefully we will get to see it soon!!!

Already got one piggy bank filled, working on the second. Let's get these Coupes in to production so the kinks can be worked out by the time I can afford one.

When is JPS going to release some photos of the coupe?

John said he was going to begin production March 1, so I assume there will be pics after the first ones are produced. I was all set to order one but my wife tabled it for a year. We got two small girls and she needed her minivan first -- I know my friends are still giving me shit about this. But family comes first. I will get it for my 40th Bday on May 4, 2007. Its a guarantee. Raul at clasicos autos in Mexico makes them and has pics of his if you want to get an idea of what they look like. Email me and I will send you the pics from Raul.

Well I spoke with him almost a year ago and he said he would have pics ups and that he was assembling one already. Hmmm, hope to see something soon. There must be major problems with the construction I assume. :(

Edward, don't feel bad. I ordered my new VS as a 40th birthday present...the only thing though, don't put it off for any reason whatsover in 2007!! Not even if your wife nags about it. You won't regret it.

Thanks Ricardo for that advice. With a family there is always something to creep up to drain the pocket book and checking account; but I will keep to this bargain. My wife took delivery of a brand new Mazda 5 minivan on Friday. Come hell or highwater I'm getting my toy next year.
