Looking for feedback on JPS Motorsports. Found information but it was dated. I am looking at their new coupe with a Subaru engine and would sincerely appreciate any feedback.

If you are considering a purchase, always remember that with these cars, it's what's under the skin that is important. A beautiful looking Speedster may just be beautiful when it's sitting still.
@Bill D - contact @Tom Murtaugh who owns a JPS Speedster with Subaru.
Also contact @Karyadi (Eddy Karyadi) who owns a very nice JPS Coupe (non-Subaru).
They are both very down-to-earth SOCers who would be able to answer your questions about their cars.
Those are nice cars but I would really like to see Henry from IM make a coupe that would be awesome to see in the flesh. So far they have kept to the convertible D and the speedster model. Just saying.
I bought a new JPS Coupe in 2013 with the 1776 VW engine, it now has about 10,000 trouble free miles on it. I love it, I will push a 993 out of the way to drive it.
All component cars require sorting... I added some castor, adjusted the shifter, let some air out of the tires.....it runs great and never overheats during the summer when being driven for pleasure...the fit and finish are exceptional especially the paint...
I roll into everything, acceleration, braking, shifting and seldom exceed 4500 RPMs....it has no trouble keeping up with freeway traffic of 75mph.....it is stored in the winter.
John has replied quickly to any questions I have. It did take about 8 months to complete.
I understand John has had some health problems but I do not know if that has had a effect or the time and quality of the builds...
South Atlanta Motors and Beverly Hill in San Diego have Subaru powered JPS Coupes for sale on occasion...but they sell pretty fast...
Thank you very much for the replies. I will follow up with the owners as well as with South Atlanta Motors and Beverly Hill in San Diego.

Funny, I see the same cars at BHM for years, they are not selling quickly!
I am not talking about cars selling quickly, I am talking about Subaru powered JPS Coupes selling quickly...it may have happened, but I don't recall one of them being there for years.....

I think the majority of the cars they list have been sold long ago if I'm not mistaken. They use those to get phone calls so that they can interest you in what they actually have or find what you want.
Ah the old bait and switch game!

Better yet,
The way I understand it with Beverly Hills Motors is, if the price is listed they have the car. If the ad reads "Call Us Now for Price" then the car is not in their inventory but they want to steer you towards another one or will try to find one that matches your wish list so they can buy it and resell it to you for more money.
