Thanks, I will obviously feel better after seeing the progress on the car. If the picture of the black speedster is your ride, we have similar tastes- I opted for the beehive lights, bumpers without the insert sAtrip and the Fuch style rims.
Aloha Hawaiiantub- sounds like our experiences with John and JPS are on a similar track. I ordered my coupe in March of this year, was promised a July delivery and now its October and still waiting. I have been to JPS twice since the order so I understand the small size of his operation. Glad to hear you are happy with the build quality, that is an important aspect to me as well. John is a horrible communicator, unless he needs more money!! I am going to visit him again in a week or so, let's hope I see an almost complete car on this trip.
Leave your checkbook at home and bring a big dog.
Good idea, but it is too bad the airlines won't allow big dogs on the flight!!
Aloha PBH, keep the faith and tactfully stay in John's grill. John is a horrible communicator, a fact. In his defense, like most small business folks who build things, everything is an emergency. Stay with it.
Aloha CR Hemi: TRP's post on the setup is spot on. It's like he built it, a little scary.
Just read on Facebook that John Steele had three heart attacks and now has a pacemaker. Might explain some of the delays discussed above. In the hospital for 3 more days.
Just talked with John on last Wed, ae you sure the Facebook post was current??
Dated October 30 and 31.
Heart attack?? Ouch. I sure hope he gets that taken care of. In spite of all, John is the glue that keeps the JPS factory stuck together. I hope he can come thorough this in good shape. Some deliveries may be delayed, sounds like.
He is back work, talked with him this week, and yes I hope he has recovered- under stand they installed a pacemaker. And yes, deliveries have been delayed.
I have a trip scheduled first week of Dec to visit John and JPS and hopefully view my car in a finished state or close to it. Keeping my fingers crossed!!
Was at JPS a couple of weeks ago, John had just come back from his heart attack and pacemaker surgery. Moving kinda slow still dealing with fluid buildup (from surgery), made 3 separate trips there in 1 week, he seemed to be a little better each time. Other personal issues haven't helped but seems to have a good attitude, looking forward to getting everything back up to speed.
Aloha John: Thanks for the effort and sharing your update. Hopefully, John will get back up to speed quickly.
