Michael,
Call John on this. I got switches from him but have yet to put them in. I wanted to "class up" the look of my dash and John offers chrome bezels to accompany his switches. So, I got the switches, the light switch is pretty standard but the wiper switch is not the same as mine current VW (2 speed). You can get the switches at any Pep Boys but you have to go through him for the bezels. I by no means wish to step on John's toes or take business away from him but I would be willing to let go of the bezels I have because I think I'm just going to pass on the replacement.
Mickey,

The reason I am considering JPS switches is so that I can use his bezels.

I have some custom made knobs I also want to use. They were made to fit VW switches.

I have thought about trying to adapt the JPS bezels to work with VW switches.

Can you tell me the diameter of the bezels?

Did you get the bezel for the ignition switch too?

Please email me at mikemck(AT)comcast.net if you want to unload the bezels so we can discuss it.

Thanks for your reply.

Mike (Mickey when I was younger)
Hey Michael,
Here are some pics of the switches and bezels. The bezel threads are different for each switch. The top one is larger and to the best I can see is about 11mm and the bottom one looks like 9mm (keep in mind I measured these with a ruler. I guess they could be modified to fit VW switches (redrilling and threading) but I'm not sure it's worth it? I have a dimmer on my current VW light switch and, as mentioned, a two speed wiper switch. I'm not willing to switch them and give up the dimmer option of two speed option (function over form on this one). I hope this helps. If you want these you're welcome to them only for shipping fees and a promise to pass on the favor to someone else along the way.
Barry,
Thanks for the info! I am interested in those bezels if they can be used with my current switches. I'm assuming, and from the looks of them, mine are the stock VW, probably from the 71 VW it was built from? If you could let me know where to get them and if I can use them on stock, if you know? Thanks, Mickey

Michael may want to go this route as well???
Hey Mickey! Would you like to have the bezels to be factory labeled like early fords are 1951 to 1956 truck .I haven't seen the JPS bezels But installed the fords on oldyeler. Dennis Carpenter Reproductions has them and a asortment of screw ferals to use with almost any switch.

Im Not kickin JPS.

But their are more options open to you. that combination allows for 1992 ford intermitant wiper switch to be used and the ford wiper motor with some tweeks give you a very strong wipers
I tried that to and yes the vw wiper switch can be used,

I had to spin the screw nut in a drill on a metic bolt and file the shoulder down just a schose. Only specal tool a reverable drill.

Dido with the light switch .

I went with a different bezel that was unmarked for the Ignition using a 1966 wv switch that required me to raid a junk yard for the correct 66 bezel ring.
I wanted the vw starter reset that vw puts as a saftey in the switch for keepin the teeth on the flywheel.

I nee to take some digital pictures this is a old photo
