Went to the Crystal Cove meet in Newport Beach on Saturday, July 2nd. It was insane with ultra high end euro-cars (even more so than usual).

I met up with Dan Palmquist (my apologies if I mispelled this) who brought his beautiful IM Roadster sporting the cool whitewalls. The center of attention on this particular day were the Porsche Carrera GT's that were parked next to my Vintage Speedster.

That was a test of self-esteem. Having my VS (which I paid $8K for when I bought it 10 years and 60K miles ago) parked next to a GT that goes for $450K!!

Anyway, the ol' VS still got it's share of interest, as did Dan's IM. More testimony that you get more bang for your buck driving one of these Speedsters!

Hey Brian!

I stand corrected, that is a Lamborghini. The give-away should have been the guy standing next to it wearing a red leather jacket with racing stripes down the sleeves and LAMBORGHINI emblazened across the back!! It was 1 of 8 Lamborghinis there that morning.

I'm not much of a Ferrari guy, but the Dino I've got pictured is one of my favorite cars that shows up at the meet. But like I'm sure you guys will agree, Speedster replicas = more bang for your buck!

To any in the area that have yet to see this spectacle of automotive artwork, this is a can't miss experience. You will see and hear cars that you may never have seen elsewhere in a lifetime. Very impromptu, and for 2.5 hrs every Saturday, there is probably no public display of cars that can equal this anywhere else.
