What day(s) will you two Spyder twins be there?  

 

I should be able to make either Saturday or Sunday (but not both).

 

Offer enough beer and maybe even Carl Berry might show up.

 

It would be nice to see you'se guys again.  After all, I missed Carlisle!!

Carl, it's not in Litchfield like days of old....It's in Harwinton, which is closer to Lenny in Bristol. But still just down the street for you guys. Would be cool if the whole gang made it...

I emailed Chris.  Might be a long-shot, but'cha never know.

looks like Chris and his senior crew chief will be coming up from Bridgeport and meeting us all there.

Now, for a good weather day on Sunday...

Looks like Sunday will be a wash-out at 90% chance of rain at the show.

 

Don't know if I can do Saturday and I know Chris can't make Saturday so this show looks like a no-show for us.

My enthusiasm for attending this Litchfield Bug-In at Harwinton has faded with the ominous weather forecast for Sunday..."Showers" I can handle, but not "Thunderstorms"

 

If anyone decides on Saturday instead please let me know

Do you recall the hellish early morning thunderstorm of the 2014 SOC gathering that flooded the entrance/exit access... and stranded us in the Marriott?

 

Do you recall Joel Abraham dripping wet in the lobby, soaked from his ear lobe to his ankle...accepting being caught by God's watery wrath with a serene and calm resignation??...That was an example of the admirable "Carlisle Spirit" that I could never hope to emulate!!!...and that I never hope to experience.

 

So, unless the weather man changes his forecast I'm avoiding Sunday's Litchfield Bug-In...Tempting the "Carlisle Spirit" be damned.  

 

Rear view mirrors are installed in all speedsters for having a specific place to hang your  "soap on a  rope".

Good advice, so before you complete the work/upgrades on my "Tub" please add a towel rack and a bar of Dr Clock fresh soap on a rope !

Well, it's cleared up. So I'll be going, should be there by 11. Lenny and I are going to meet there. Looks like clear sailing all day, except for maybe some drying roads. My car is fairly clean, and may get a little dirty, but that's okay.

I wish.......

Hope it clears enough to haul out the cooker for my rubbed Pork roast later on, otherwise I'll be cookin' in the garage!

Well, the show was canceled. So Lenny and I are having lunch at the Landing Zone, just around the corner.

They are thinking September. Hope they don't choose Labor Day... It really wasn't that wet. It was a light, steady rain by my house. Anyway, a nice little rainstorm reared it's ugly head on my way home. I could see it coming from 10 miles away, so I pulled into a rest area and threw the top up quick. Just made it, relatively dry.....

FYI, over 200 trouble free, purring miles today. Over 25 mpg returned in the last tank, but most of that mileage was around town, only 90 highway.

Danny--that is sensational mileage plus it's being delivered by a beast of an engine.
