Here is what it said;

"This message is to confirm your registration for the June 26 Fiberglass Day and Car Show at the Petersen Automotive Museum. I will be sending a more detailed program of the days events and schedule approximately one week before the event, so be sure to check your inboxes. Spread the word!"

We should be getting something soon.

Is anyone planning on taking the fiberglass class they are having??
There are several Ethiopian restaurants in the vicinity. In fact, gauged by Gerd's stature, I'd say he already knows about those Ethiopian joints (re; South Park).

There's a Johnny Rocket's burger joint there, as well as a Coney Island Hot Dog place a couple of doors east on Wilshire.

They're instructing exhibitors to have their vehicles staged by 09:00AM on the 3rd level of the parking structure. So I guess we should be on-site by 08:30 (big crowd of cars getting in). We could rendezvous at 08:00-08:15AM in the Von's market parking lot on the intersection of Fairfax/Pico (about 1 mile north of 10 Fwy) then caravan to the museum (1 mile north on Fairfax).

Don't forget to bring your chairs and straw hats (no tables or pop-up canopies allowed). Bruce Meyers (Manx buggies) will be there as a speaker along with other dignitaries.
...also, Ted doesn't drool as much as Mark!

I'm for the South contingent of SOCers going to the Petersen to meet at CVS on Seal Beach Blvd (usual rendezvous).

Recommended route = 405 North to 10 Fwy East.

Rendezvous with remainder of SOC group in the Von's market parking lot on Fairfax (exit 10 Fwy on Fairfax Blvd, go north 1 mile) then caravan as 12-car SOC group to Petersen (on corner of Fairfax/Wilshire 1 mile north of Von's parking lot).

Travel time from Seal Beach to Von's/Fairfax = approx 45 minutes.

Exhibit vehicles to be staged by 09:00AM, so we should get there a little early as a group so that we will be parked together.

This will be a fun day of hanging out and showing our cars!
Desi, you'll need to ask Clayton, he's the Petersen contact on your registration form.. I've emailed him and he's pretty good at returning his emails too. Jimbo looks like I'll see you at the store off Fairfax... Let me know if anyone is coming from the San Gabriel valley west on the 10 (Santa Monica Fwy) that morning. I'm looking for a hook-up somewhere along the way, if not then I'll see you boys at the Fairfax location at 8:00 am. Hey Jimbo, Clayton told me that if we are ALL pre-registered and we get in at 8:30 am that would be perfect...

LarryB / WillP - since you guys will have already put in 100+ miles by the time you reach the CVS in Seal Beach you're welcome to crash at my place Friday night (in Irvine) to save yourself that long drive in the AM. Its a VERY small place but you're welcome to any floor space you can fit in. We would leave my place 06:30 Sat AM.
I just got this Email

Hello fiberglass enthusiast!

Thank you very much for your participation in the upcoming Fiberglass Day at the Petersen this Saturday, June 26, from 10am-3pm. The Petersen has had a great response so far and it is sure to be a fun day.

As outlined on your registration form, please aim to arrive between 8-9 a.m. to ensure everyone is in place and the area is safe for pedestrians when the museum opens at 10 a.m. Because the show area is open to pedestrians, we ask that you not move your car between 10am and the end of the day
