Got up early Sunday morning and took the speedster for a ride. Got on old Highway 101 near Torrey Pines beach in northern San Diego. Cruised north (license plate is CRZNTUB) about 30 miles, thru about six beach communities to Carlsbad. On this section of 101, about 50% of the highway is RIGHT ON THE OCEAN. The only thing between you and the surf is maybe a few parked cars and some sand. Due to frequent elevation changes, you are regularly rewarded with a view that includes about ten miles of shoreline. Temp about 75F, no clouds, surfers out in force, minimal traffic. Saw one Boxster and one Carrera en-route. No recognition there. Lots of attention at some of the red lights (HURRAH
