Hi i just bought a cmc speedster can anyone tell me anything about them? do you rate quality of this company?
are there better yrs than others? If there is a need to know what chassis # or defining number to add anything to this please let me know and i will search for them thanks Peter

i was also just going thru old paperwork i found it has a mini performance 2276 cc motor in it , i own numerous g/m muscle cars and was suprised at the 0-60 performance of this car , is anyone familiar with this engine rehab co? i have the parts and dyno list here
Peter, I use Photobucket to post my photos here. You need to copy the IMG link.
It's a good idea to make your photos slightly smaller before you send them to Photobucket. I've found that reducing my photos to 900 px works best.
Note that I didn't have to reduce your photo.

From what I see, it looks decent. If u picked it up for under 13k, I think you did well.
thanks i got it with a clean 76 beetle convert also they had sat in a barn for 5 yrs , both running good a couple of minor issues, speedster needs a windshield and has a hole in the soft top both cars together for quite a bit less than that thanks .
Vast majority of CMCs were owner (not factory built) so build quality dependent on owners capabilities. Hence no build year better than another - a post 1971 VW chassis gets you IRS rear suspension and dual port OEM engine. Very substantial fiberglass body and perimeter frame - OEM gel coat finish not show room quality (like a $2k paint job). Engine sound decent. Ditch the cheap engine mounted plastic fuel filter (or buy a good fire extinguisher). Nice 2L Porsche alloys (but might be replicas vs super light forged OEM).
