I just cracked my windshield when I was reinstalling it. I tried to pry the lower rubber in place with a screw driver and that made the windshield crack.

Anyone got one they want to part with?

The bright side is that if I get the car to Carlisle I won't have to worry about getting the Carlisle sticker off.

Greg,

I had it successfully installed once. Then I took it off to replace corroded end posts. I think I would have been OK if I hadn't pried on it with the screw driver.

I found I had to do a lot of tightening on the center rod to pull it into position and then snug the end posts.

I thought about trying to get it replaced at Carlisle but I have the glass siliconed into the frame and it probably would be a bit of a job getting the frame off the old glass.

Friday, a bit over a week ago, I took it to a place to get the rear lowered and the wheels aligned. On the way there a front wheel came off. Then the place held my car hostage for 8 days. It was killing me that I couldn't work on it all that time.

I want to have it looking finished enough tomorrow to take pictures to apply for insurance. I have to get the insurance before I can get a license plate.
I sure thought I torqued all the lug nuts to 90 ft. lbs.

The guy who worked on the car thought maybe the studs were not fully seated.

The bottom of one shock got ground away. I bought new ones. The beautiful read coating on a brake caliper got chipped off and the splash shield got bent a bit. No body damage.

They weren't not actually holding my car. It just took them 8 days instead of 1 or two to do the work. The guy working on it, their Porsche specialist, kept getting distracted by other things, including preparation of a race car. Also, he had a great deal of difficulty getting my adjustable spring plates off the ends of my torsion bars.
