The Tour d' Hoe will be coming up in September. Meet in Auburn Friday morning, caravan to Lake Tahoe, hang out, drive around the lake on Saturday, hang out, eat, drink, and head home Sunday.

Thanks for the info on the Tahoe event I will plan on making that. I feel like I already have the madness! I'm working on the wheels and I'm not ready for interior shots just yet. There should be more to come this week. I look forward to finally driving it.

Rick,  Looks great and also looks like you are making a hard cover.  Big question is, what is the story behind the silver car in your profile pic?

Yes the rear cover is aluminum. I will post more pics when it's done. The silver car is a JPS Coupe that I couldn't pass up on even though I had the red Speedster. Once they are both running and driving I will decide on the car to keep and sell off the other. As much as I would like to keep them both I can't afford it. 

Don't let that coupe get "stuck in Lodi again"....grab some $$$ now and sell me the coupe... have cash, trailer and will travel.

Haha thanks David! I think the Coupe likes Lodi, but if my wife likes the Speedster better it will be tough to make a case to have two cars. I will keep you in mind when it's time to decide. 

And if David backs out - I'll take it ! !

Definitely the chrome, although if you painted the wheels argent silver that might look better still!

Thank you for the responses. Looks like the black is out for sure. I will work on what the replacements will be. I like the chrome, but I have a few other ideas as well. Keep you posted. 

Settled on grey to match the aluminum.

I'd just get it vinyl wrapped in a brushed aluminium look! In FL I could quick fry eggs on the tonneau -- maybe meemaw's biscuits too.
