Vlad - Cool! So that's a 6 cylinder turbo'd Corvair Corsa engine? I recall way back in '65 they put out like 180 hp. Bet that is a tight fit - does the rear steel chassis cross member have to be moved? And is there a rear support for the heavier engine? Looking at a 2L 914 flat cooled engine transplant for mine. Only 106 hp but only 60 # than a T1. T4 is ~5" longer than T1 too.

Never going to happen unfortunately.
I bought the car with the conversion done already, just got the car roadworthy recently now that my divorce is almost finalized There is a cross member on the back that acts as an engine mount for the corvair. Not sure if it extends any longer, but it does fit well. The 66 corvair turbo produced 165hp
The car runs well and will do 100mph on the freeway, but I generally don't go over 80
